Happy November!!!!

Here are two pictures for you to look at. They are abstract art. "A simple, common definition of "abstract art" is "not realistic." Yet many artists who call their work abstract, actually do have a subject in mind when they paint. They take a figure or landscape and simplify it, exaggerate it, or stylize it in some way. They are not trying to imitate nature, but to use nature as a starting off point. Color, line, and form are more important to them than the details of the actual subject matter. They want to give a sense or feel for the subject rather than an exact replication" (modernartimages.com).
Choose one of the pictures. Write a story using the picture as your focus. The story should be fictional--make it up. Use the objects in the pictures, the shapes, the colors as a way to identify which picture you are working from.
Ex. "My blue period--My name is Jaclyn and my life can be broken into three parts: the time of innocence, the time of awareness, and the time of confusion. As a child we are innocent. We see the world through glasses that are rose colored. Everyone is nice and has the best intentions. The world is safe. In the middle, the awareness arrives. The center becomes the eye. I can see the world as it is, no longer roses and daisies, but a place where cynicism resides. A ripple effect of my actions reminds me of the way the world works. No one lives in isolation. Everything spirals down and out. In the end, confusion sets it. Here questioning my existence begins. I no longer see myself clearly. There is less of me and more of the world. The color blue has always been the way I see myself--a sky moving above hidden, sometimes, by the conflicts that exist."
The blue one, which I used as my metaphor, is harder to write about. It was a challenge. If you like a challenge, go for it.
Enjoy!

I lethargically moved one of my limbs a slight degree through the shadows of which I was covered, wondering whether or not it mattered to this forsaken corner if I were to creep out from beneath its eery protection and crawl to another concealed crevice. I kept my tentacle in place, measuring the water current and what it had to offer. Casually I wondered to myself, mindless thinking, if one would have, about the ways of such and the such of ways... I crept back into the shadows, half in and half out, but yet, feeling whole, and not of a half as one would suppose.

The shock of color surrounding my meek being put my humble array to shame... Brilliant colors loitered, hung, staggered about in undecided directions.. Beings three times as large as I arched themselves, fanned their adornments for all to see... they wavered, gracefully wavered through the water... Or was it now air? Beings, without names, without sounds clouded my sight, basting themselves in the rich tones of red. Watching the sunrise from the bottom of the sea, though this was a sunrise of color and not the rising of the sun, made me cling with such desperation to the slick wall of my covering... My shelter. This was without reason, without understanding. I could not understand, or begin to understand, the meaning of this care-free yet philosophical parade... Was I the audience, or the one who tagged behind throwing flowers? The colors and the great winged creature, alongside of the arching mass of graceful grey, sauntered throughout my focus, taunting a chant of nothing, so being a chant of nothing, I took no notice... I crept back into my crevice, and tasted the water current with little interest.

The butterfly and The Fish-
The butterfly could fly in the sky and could go just about any where, but the poor fish was confined to a small, cold pond. The fish grew very jelouse of the butterfly, and what did the butterfly do? He laughed and taunted the fish. One day just as the sun was setting, the fish grew so desspret he leaped into the air. He jumped even higher then the butterfly was flying! Now the fish are content to be able to jump high into the air for that way they can have fun and catch food.

--Rebirth--
I woke up this morning to the way thing usually are on my planet of zarok. I look up to the sky and see the raindrop nebulas in the brown sky. The nebula is shaped as it normally would be, it looked like a formation of 3 blue raindrops with a fourth below them in the sky. But then something very strange happened. There was a flash of light in the sky and then the huge mass of gas started to spiral inward to the point where only two of the three great beauties of the sky were still visible. At this time the people of my planet were in panic. The raindrop nebulas could only be seen from our planet, so if they disappeared, it would be the largest tragety to strike within the last 100 years. Just when riots started breaking out into the streets, there was a huge explosion in the sky. when the space dust cleared the people were in awe. of the traditional 4 raindrops, one survived but the rest were scattered into beautiful swirling bands of blue. The riots turned into celebrations, for the people realized that the nebulas were not gone, they had just changed shape. I have decided to paint a picture of the happenings that day: Death and Rebirth

During the summer, when the sun was hot and bright yellow, my grandfather would take my sister and I down to the lake. It was a deep cool blue, with tan and brown sand and stones all around it. The trees leaves were a bright lively green. There were always birds chirping, and dragon flies and bees flying around. Sometimes, if you were lucky, a drangon fly or butterfly would land on you. They liked bright colors like yellow or red, so my sister and I would wear bright colored shirts. For dinner, we would have a cook out with hamburgers, potatoes, corn on the cob, and for dessert, my gandma's cherrie cake. We would sit out on the side of the lake and wait for the sun to set. The sky turned pink, purple, and red. It was always my favorite time of the day. The breeze was crisp and cool, but the air was always warm. Then we would sit out under the stars with a fire crackling at our feet. My grandpa would show us the big dipper and all the other shapes in the sky with fancy names I never remembered. Being out on the lake was always one of my favorite things to do. It got you away from the busy cities, packed with people and action. It gave you time to relax and take everything in.

Have you ever met someone and thought you would never become friends with them? Sometimes it is the two most different people that are the best of friends. Stella the dragonfly and Stanley the fish prove this point. Stanley was just swimming along with the other fish, and the sun began to set. The time was growing closer to jump for the evening view of the world above them. They had swum downstream where they hadn’t been for a while, Stanley went to jump and hit a lily pad. The other fish laughed and teased him. He tried to jump again and again but kept running into lily pads. Stanley felt awful and began to swim back home. Later that night he was trying to sleep, but a noise from the top of the water kept him awake. Eventually he decided to swim up and figure out what was causing this noise. He was still angry from earlier that day, and planned on eating whatever was at the top of water, even if it meant jumping for it. He swam straight up, jumping directly out of the water. He did this multiple times, catching sight of the bug. It had two wings, beautiful yellow ones and a long black tail. Every time he jumped the dragonfly would move slightly over, just missing his mouth. Stanley became even more frustrated, and thought he could talk to the dragonfly and ease it into his mouth. So again he jumps out of the water starting a conversation. When he asks how the dragonfly is doing and what her name is, he anger leaves, and he becomes calm. This conversation starts again the following night when he goes to the top of the water, planning to ease her in his mouth. These late night conversations begin to happen daily, and Stanley forgets about his plan of eating her. Although Stanley lives in the water and can only travel so far, Stella who becomes his best friend is free. She can fly wherever the wind takes her and met anything she wants. But she stays nearby to be with a friend. These animals live two different lives, but became the best of friends.

A Fishes Life:
The fish has gone through many obstacles, such as being chased by shark, almost being caught by a boat and eaten, and struggling to find food. It has no specific home, and it swims through the ocean day and night. One day, it was swimming at the top of the ocean water as it saw a beautiful butterfly go by. It felt jealous of the butterfly, for the butterfly could fly in the air and be free, and it was beautiful. Nobody wants to befriend a fish, he thought, but everyone loves butterflies. He jumped out of the water because he was angry and began to see the world outside of water. It wasnt't that different than his world underwater. He had even jumped higher than the butterfly. He smiled, satisfied with himself.

Visions into the Clear Blue --

We look at water the same as any other person would, with its clearness, stimulation of life and so on. Water is a penetrating force that can carve through any stone. It just takes patience for the water to weather it out. That's how everyone views life that if you have the patience and strength to carve the stone of life you will pass through to the make up your water to reach the ocean. Our experiences are what make up the water though it’s those experiences help us reach the ocean.

This is the story someone else’s views into the clear blue, I want to tell my story of how I see the other side.

What do you see when you look into water? Is it blurry or crystal clear? We look through it and see the world clear on the other side. The thing we don’t notice is the middle of the painting. We understand where we are and what we see but we don’t see what’s creating these visions in our heads. Are we seeing the truth? The middle is all that is what bends, forms and creates what we see as right and wrong there can be different visions of the middle section, the only thing that’s the same is the what we see and who we are being. I am still going through this process, I want to be wise enough to just be able to destroy the clearness in the middle and just see the 2 parts of the painting. There are people out there that try to confuse others into believing what’s inside the clearness is real. Water can be taken into many forms, which is why our views can be taken into many forms. We need to know what’s making the middle piece, and what is making the other side such a blur. But that’s just my fiction piece of the middle just blurring the other side for you.

A long way from the inner city was a small forest, in this small forest was a pond. A small little pond, and as of right now, of no signifigance.Surronding it was bright red and orange colred rocks with strains of bright green puffy algea growing on the edges of them. The water was just a tinger green and the animals that lived never ventured off. They didn't because this pond life was relaxing, they had no predators to interupt their life cycle, and the climate suited them all well. The creatures that lived there from fish to algea to butterfly's and frogs, were quite happy unaware of all the life around them. It rained on this pond,as it did all around it, for the humidity engulfing it was always at a high number. This pond just represents a vibrant, uplifting life that not a lot of other people ever hear about. For this pond will never be known to the city boys & girls and the city boys & girls will never find this pond.

it was a nice summer day when i was down by a lake. i saw a beautiful yellow butterfly with vibrant colors. then i seen a ugly fish, with dull boring colors. i always wondered if the fish was jealous of the butterfly. one day i asked the fish,"are you jealous of that butterfly because it can fly around and be free?" the fish answered back "yes, and the butterfly always makes fun of me because im stuck in this tiny lake while it can fly anywhere."so the next day i got in the lake and told the fish that i was going to teach it how to jump so high, it was going to jump higher than what the butterfly can fly. so we worked and worked and worked on his jumping abilities. it was a slow progress at first, then he slowly progressed. then one day the butterfly came around and was taunting the fish. the fish bravely stood up for himself and said,"watch this!" and the fish jumped so high, higher than the butterfly could fly, that the butterfly was amazed and couldn't believe it! the butterfly soon apologized to the fish and they became best friends.

It was a story my grandmother told me all most every night. The story of the “Fish Spirit”. This story was about our Chinese ancestors immigrating to America. It was a stormy night. There were big waves and lots of rain. Every passenger on the ship was fast asleep, all but Zea. She was a little five year old girl losing hope that she would ever see land again. Her mother had told her all about America especially all the new animals. Zea loves animals of all kinds. She was particularly excited to see what the Americans called a dragonfly. Her mom said that seeing a dragonfly would mean that land was not far away. She imagined what it would look like, maybe just a dragon with wings, she did not know. This night was a full moon though you could only see it every once in a while because of the storm, but when she did see it, it gave her the creeps. As the night went on she began to lose hope. Once her mom had told her about the fish spirit and whenever you’re losing hope or are fearful, the fish spirit will grant you one wish. She was wondering if this fish spirit was real. As she was wondering there in the water something was glowing. Gracefully a fish glided out of the water. She could not believe her eyes. The fish spirit ask why she was losing faith and she explained all about how long they were traveling and how she thought she would never see land again. With that the fish spirit said nothing further and jumped into the water with a plop. She was very confused so she went to bed thinking it was just an illusion. She woke to her mom shaking her urgently saying look Zea, look. Zea awoke and quickly looked around. There she saw a weird creature that looked like a stick with wings. Her mom explained that it was a dragonfly. She could not believe her eyes and totally forgot why she was longing to see one. She was so distracted by its beauty that 10 minutes later when people where shouting "land" she could not believe it. She told her mom about the fish spirit and she whispered under her breath thank you. Just then a fish jumped out of the water flipped and dove right back in.

Forgoten Love

There was a butterfly that was in love with a fish. Everday the butterfly would fly over to the pond where the fish lived. They were in love and planned to get married very soon. The only problem was their parents didn't like them together because they were two totally different species. The fish's mom was okay with them getting married, and the dad not so much. The butterfly's parents were against it with no exceptions. The two were very disapointed with how their parents were acting. Eventually the fish died and the butterfly felt she could never love again and forgot what love was forever.

The three blue pictures, represent the 3 rain drops of life. The first one represents faith. The second one represents hope, and the last one represents love. One day, there were three men stranded in a desert. They were expiriencing a drought. It had bed almost a year since it had rained, and the three men were stranded without food or water. They have been walking for days, as they could not find one clue for a town or city to be ahhead. Everything was so dryed up, that they werent sure if there were any cities left. They waited in despair, hoping for a miracle to approach their way. The next day, three rain drops fell from the sky. With its extraordinary powers the three rain drops were powerful enough to restore the whole land. The three men were so happpy that they went out and chanted for the three saviors of the world.

There is a pond just outside of Ohio which consists of only two animals. Butterflies and fish are the two inhabitants of this wonderful pond. In the pond area are trees full of fruit, and colorful, bright, and rich plants. The butterfly and fish enjoyed them all, but did not know the other animal existed. One day while the butterfly was traveling to her home with mounds of berries, she saw the fish. The fish then saw the butterfly, and at that moment they wanted to become great friends. The dilemma they had was fish could not fly and butterflies could simply not swim. The fish tried to fly many times, but all it could do was swim. The butterfly tried to swim with the fish countless times, but also had no success. The butterfly then thought up an idea to get the fish to fly, and itself to swim. The fish could make wings, and the butterfly could make gills. The idea seemed foolish and and the fish fabricated a new plan. They two creatures could teach eachother the activity. The butterfly was a poor teacher, always indiscriminant in details of flying, and after a long period of time, the fish gave up. The butterfly seemed too distracted to learn to swim. Then, the next morning, the butterfly attached a covering of a water-proof plant to its wings, and drove into the water. Then it could swim with ease. The fish and butterfly lived happily, but eventually went to live their separate lives. So the butterfly forgot how to fly and could only swim. They did not meet after that, but liked living seperatly even in the same pond.

every summer my brother and i would go visit our grandparents at the beachouse in florida. we would run up and down the sandy beaches through the wet brown sand that reminded us of mud. the water was so clean there that it would splash up blue all around your feet, the brown sand swirling around and squishing up between our toes. we would try to build a castle on the multiple hills and sand dunes and fill up a moat with the clear blue water and splash each other in it. occasionally we would find a pretty blue shell and call our parents over. Then we would laugh as they came running and the teardrop shaped droplets of water would splash their legs as their feet would kick up the dusty brown sand.--anastasia(:

-Kaitlyn's Drawing-
As the sky turned red, no one knew what to expect. The planets came closer together as the sky began to shrink. The world looked as though it was going to suddenly burst. Butterflies grew to the size of cars and fish were drowning in their own tears. The world was slowly falling down a rabbit hole with Alice and Kaityn by its side. This was a description Kaitlyn gave the class as she described her own artwork. Kaitlyn was a little girl with a questionably vivid imagination. She would always draw random pictures of animals, bright colors, planets, mushrooms, and other strange objects. She was very good at abstract art. Kaitlynn adored the storybook icon, “Alice in Wonderland”. The stories of Alice gave Kaitlyn her crazy imagination that sparked her ideas and drawings. Not many people knew the real Kaitlyn, she also liked going to the campgrounds and she always had great stories to tell her friends afterwards. Even though many doubted Kaitlyn, she continued to strive in what she did best, drawing and telling stories about the campgrounds. These stories also influenced her drawings.

It all started off when there was a flourishing city fillled with life and the city was massive. Until one day a new group of people came and brought what they called civilized living. The city is underwater in the first place and all the people lived in peace no mgic or anything just a weird structure in the earth the allowed a bubble made of rock form with a tube leading to the surface for air well one day the new people came and they actually came through the tunnel to get to the city and when they di they told people about it and as moore and more people came and eventually the tunnel got so crowded that it just plugged up and i have no idea how. So all of the air and gas that was in the air that was left built up so much pressure that the stone bubble just blew up and all that was left was a giant pile of rocks and "civilized" debris and a couple drops of water submerged deep under the ocean floor where no one but survivors know where it lies.

Hello! My name is Rosalynne. I'm what you could call a "jumping fish", well im gana tell you a story that happend about a week ago. So I was just swimming in my bowl all normally right? Well my friend the butterfly came by and we were just talking and having a good old time like we alwys do. So than he told me him and his other frinds were coming by later. So i was all exsited to meet his friends and so i got ready and watched them as they flew closer from the distance. When they reached my bowl they were all very mean to me. They made fun of me and how i could never get out of the water. They called me names and hurt my feelsing. Than they left off laughing. I couldnt beleave that he would do that to me! I was so embarressed. The next day he came by to talk to me like nothing was wrong. So right when he came to the edge of my bowl i jumped out and got him soaked with water. Than i flew and told him to leave and never return. So he did and from that day on i have never seen that mean old butterfly again.

I surfed on some big waves, seen alot of fish and others animals like octopuses. The ocean was nice. Then in spring it rained alot but it was ok because I found this beautiful butterfly that stayed around my house all season.
Then in summer I slept outside under the stars and seen some planets, it was fascinating. Then in fall I had my birthday party and there was TONS of ballons!! Then winter came again and it starts all over again...

The fish lived in a dark cold pond in the middle of the woods. One day the fish was caught and brought to a fishtank in a home in the country. The fishes tank was getting all gross and dirty. The owners needed to clean it.They took the fish and put him in a bowl outside for some fresh air.As they were hosing down the tank the fish looked up and saw a beautiful colorful butterfly. He was so jealous,he jumped up and tried to fly.The owners had a sudden accident and needed to get to the hospital fast !!! The fish was left outside. It was getting dark and cold. The fish couldn't get his mind off the butterfly. It was so colorful and free.He looked to the night sky and saw a shooting star.He wished as hard as he could. He wished to be a butterfly. Then the water in his bowl started to spin and he felt as if he was drowning. He couldn't breath.so he went up for air.As he went up he felt he was no longer in his natural form.He jumped to the rim of the bowl and dried off his new and gorgeous wings. As soon as they were dry he flew away.Into the dark night. I chose the second picture because I think it represents earth with the butterfly and the fish and it has trees and flowers and its very abstract and has a lot of things going on in the picture because it makes me feel relaxed when I look at it.

my name is Ammara, and i am a fish that comes from a beautiful lake surrounded by mystirious objects. when i was born my mother named me Ammara because it means become beautiful, and she believed that it would come true. when i was all alone i would dream about going to the surface to see all the wonderful shapes and objects that surround me, but me being a fish, my dreams could never become a reality. one day a very odd fish came into my territory and started jumping out of the water then right back in, "Excuse me sir, how is that possible that you can leave the water, you will die." i told the fish astonished by what he had done. "Well young lad, ill tell you one thing when you leave the water it is very true that you can't breath, but you are able to see all the wonderful things waiting for you on the surface, and as for dieing, well as long as you come back into the water you will be fine." so after the other fish left i tried so hard to reach the surface,i tried and tried and finally i was able to jump out of the water and was hypnotized with all the different colors and everything that I'd never seen before. Once i realized that i was able to do that i remembered what my name ment and i figured that my mother had faith in me and helped me through everything.

The rain in some ways, many people see as a problem. Whereas, I see it as a perfect day to go fly fishing. Catching the perfect fish colored, oh so perfectly, with reds, blues, and even swirls of green. The best bait for these fish is a dragon fly. I put the dragon fly on the hook and threw it out into the water, hoping to see the lure dunk down. Finally, this time I caught one. This day, my fish was perfect. I even gave it a name, Rose. The name seemed to be just fitting for the perfect fish. It had red scales speckled with green and was shadowed with a blue tint. This, to me, was and is the perfect day. A time enabling me to just sit and enjoy life; enjoying my perfect fish.

My name is clara, and a typical day in my life has three parts, a beginning, middle, and end. The beginning is the morning where the day starts off with family and going to school. Every thing starts in an order with nothing disburing it. the middle of the day includes the afternoon, where everything seems to be mixed and combined. Friends mixes in with school and classes. I am thinking about one thing while doing another thing, and everything seems to be in a huge mess in my mind. The end of the day brings relaxation and after doing homework, I get to relax. Everything falls back into its place, and the next day, it starts all over again.

The fish and butterfly
The butterfly has seen the world and tells the fish all about it. The fish gets very curious about the world and jumps out of the pond and hops to pond to pond looking at the world. The butterfly trys to stop the fish and then the fish jumps up and eats the butterfly.

The Story of Mythianity:

The religion mythtianity is a peculiar one, but the people of Hearth believe it regardless of the bashing from scientists and scholars. They believe in one sole creator of everything, Tod. They don't have the slightest clue what he looks like, however. He could be a fish for they we know. Yes, a great gray fish in a galaxy of swirling colors and shades. He lives in a magical kingdom in the sky, called Devon. When you die, you go and live with him and everyone else in eternal happiness. If you live a bad life, however, you go to the kingdom of Bell, and burn for eternity. Tod creates the rain, trees, and makes everything happen “for a reason”. The mythianic people pray everyday to Tod, and sacrifice people to the Great Lakes said to be his swimming pools. They await their savior, Retus, the magical butterfly. He appeared once before, healing the sick, walking on water, doing unrealistic feats. A child with a butterfly net later killed him. The boy became the first victim of mythtianity and was drown. These stories are contained in the day's most captivating fiction, the Sidle. The mythianic people continue to drown people to this day, and no butterfly reigns down from the Devon. They pray and they pray, but to no avail. One day, a young man by the name of Feff tried to convince the mythtianic people that they were wrong, that when you die, you don’t visit a magical fish and his butterfly son, but your corpse rots in the ground. He had oodles and oodles of scientific evidence that disproved key aspects of the Sidle. Arrogant as they were, the mythianic people threw him in a lake. They continue to waste their time worshipping a fairy tale, and the people of Hearth live incomplete lives waiting for something that will never come. If only they would’ve listened to wise old Feff.

Taking things for granted -There was once a fish named Gary. Gary was an accountant at a small chair manufacturer. They made lots of chairs there but the bestselling type was their reclining chairs. Gary loved chairs and anything else made for sitting. One day Gary was in the back testing out the chairs when he noticed a different one he'd never seen before. It was black with planet designs on them. Gary began to sit down on it but then his boss Mr. Dragonfly burst into the room and yelled "What are you doing!?!?!?!?! Get back to work!" The yelling made Gary both frightened and sad. Gary went back to his desk and finished the day off. When it was time to go Gary snuck into the back and sat down on the chair. It was the most comfortable reclining chair Gary had ever seen the company make and he'd been there for 30 years. Gary knew he had to have it. The next day when Gary checked the chair out again. He wished he could have that chair instead of the chair at his desk. The one at his desk was old and uncomfortable. Gary began to despise his own chair and found himself spending lots of time in the storage area just sitting in the chair until his boss would tell him to get back to his desk. Gary was getting obsessed with the chair until one day when Gary got back to his desk his chair was gone! Gary was a little bit worried but then he thought it was a good opportunity to buy the chair in storage. When Gary finally saved up enough money he bought the chair. He thought everything would be great and it was... for a while. After about 2 months his back began to hurt. He started to realize that it was the chair. Gary began to cry and miss his old chair but it never returned and Gary had to have back surgery.

She's like an odd butterfly. Old, frail, wet. She is steeped in water, but somehow still breathing. She's being held down by an octopus, but still fluttering with no trouble. Circles surround her; wait, they're bubbles. She struggles as she tries her best to catch them one at a time so that she can breathe, but she can breathe without them. Then why does she need them? Does she use them? Is it all a game? They lack in nutrition. She feeds on red berries to survive. Does she need the berries, or can she survive without food. Why not? She can survive in water with no way to get oxygen besides bubbles, but she doesn't need the bubbles. How does she live with herself? She is strange, awkward, and completely different from everything else. Her life consists of questions. A lot of questions. More then anyone or anything else. She is one of a kind, and she can’t be fabricated.

One warm, bright summer morning a happy fish jumped out of the pond where he lived in a proud manner. A dragonfly just happened to be flying by when he notcied this fish jump at an alarming height. The dragonfly then said to him "Why are you so joyful?" "Because I am the biggest fis in the whole entire pond, and theres nothing you can say about it!" replied the arogant fish. "You seem pretty high and mighty." The dragonfly said with a sarcastic tone in his voice. "Well why wouldnt I be? I am the most beautiful, strongest and biggest fish in this whole entire pond might I remind you." "Maybe so but that is no reason to think you are better than everyone else." "But I am" replied the selfish fish. "One day you will see what I mean and you may not be the biggest fish in the pond anymore." "Thats ridiculous!" replied the fish once again. "You will see." Just as the fsh was about to go back under water to gloat to his other fish friends, a huge catfish was thrown into the lake by a fisherman that didnt want him anymore. The catfish swam over to them to introduce himself and the dragonfly replied with a simple "Hello new friend, whats your name?" The other fish who was no longer the biggest and badest swam underneath the water in great dispair. The drangonfly said to the catfish, "Dont you worry, he is just upset that he is no longer that top dog."

everyday the fish would swim around his small pond with not very much to do, he was very bored and dreamed about wha the outer world was like, one day he saw this very interesting creature that was unknown to him. it had a small body and two very large 'arms' that allowed him to float around. the fish was so intrigued by the sight that he was bound to be there one day.everynight he would pray to be able to 'float around'. one mysterious night after he opened his eyes from praying he saw an odd creature with 3 arms. it had tiny suction cups on the underside of its arms. he said to the fish "i am your guardian, im here to grant you one wish". the fish swam there in shock. he instantly knew what he wanted. he said "i want to fly" ! the guardian granted him his wish and the fish soon began to fly. instantly the fish began to have trouble to breath. he dove right in the water of the small pong he lived in and later that night he relized that he is a fish and is not meant to fly and was forced to stay in the small pond.

During Life you go through many stages. When you are young you begin to see the world you are introduced to things and new people. Then as you grow you begin to develope attachments to things that you like and you start recognizing your different emotions and start to try and cope with them. Then finally you get old and have learned much and you know how each and everything in the world affects you personally. Everyone goes through these stages and the are inevitable no matter what.

Life Falls Hard
Angel was a 14 year old girl with what people say to be a normal life. Her life was only reality and was pretty well put together. She had one older brother, a dad, and a mom all living under one roof. Angel had some twists here and there in her life but who doesn't? Her life was full of wonders and a lot of memories that made her who she is. She went to school Monday thru Friday and inbetween those days one week, something major happened! Her day was going normal on Thrusday morning that week. She got up, went to school and went to almost all of her classes. During 7th period, she got a pass to go to the office, while her dad was standing in the office almost ready to cry! Angel walked into the office, saw her dad, and walked out to the car quietly. Angel was baffled about why her dad looked the way he did. Her dad sat in the car with her for about two minutes, just sitting there in silence till he finally got the guts to tell her what had happened. Her dad said to her,"Your mother went to the doctor and was diognosed with cancer." Angel didn't know what to say when he told her that.
The days went on and Angel was depressed all the time. Her friends could hardly get a smile out of her. Angel's friends still didn't know what was wrong, even her best friend. When Angel got the nerve to tell her best friend, Amber, she started to burst out in tears. Amber did the same thing that Angel did when she first found out and just sat there dumbfounded. Amber tried to keep it on the quiet side but Amber told one person and that person told someone else and so on. Soon, everybody at school knew and cared for her and her whole life changed in a way she never thought would happen. People started to raise money for the family but in the end it didn't end up being enough. All the money that the family had, ended up going to the cure for her mother's cancer. Later that month that they have paid for the chemotherapy, they didn't have enough money to pay for the house. They got evicted about a month later and now Angel had another problem to worry about.
Angel's life is not getting better at all. Her mother was still in the hospital for cancer and now they just got evicted from their house. Angel still went to school but was made fun of because of the way she dressed. She only had dirty clothes because she didn't have a washer machine anymore and always smelled. They never had a family member that lived close by that they could go and stay with or a good family friend. They just went on in life, trying not to worry about what other people thought. Amber stopped talking to her because she didn't want to get made fun of because she hung out with Angel. So, from that day forward, she lost her best friend and never really talked at school much. From the cancer, to homeless, to having no friends, her life fell to pieces. Her so called, "perfect life," was gone. She lost the three most important things to her, extreamly fast.

I woke up one morning, well rested. No school, feeling refreshed after a long shower. The usual mom reading the newpaper, dad at work, sister getting ready for a long day and then me fixing myself a bowl of cereal. I turned on the television and for some odd reason none of the usual shows were on. I thought the T.V was'nt working right. I asked mom she said she was'nt sure and told me to flip through more of the channels but after I was working on that all I saw was the bright strips of different colors going down my t.v I was amazed and quite surprised when the color literally ran down my television and onto the carpeting where my 3 dogs were laying quietly. The color then began to cover my dogs as well with its nonstop motion. Oranges yellows and blues all over the carpet. I called for my mom but i echoed... all of a sudden i was in a room by myself. i was stunned by the array of colors and to add to that when i turned back to see the T.V, objects.. many of them coming out of the television. a fish plunged onto the ground and went through the carpet which was now a puddle. All of a sudden I ducked after realizing a butterfly swooped out of the T.V soaring as high as the ceiling would go. I felt something...on my shoulder... then more then it felt like hundreds, now realizing it was raining in my family room I reached for an umbrella but picked up a squid, then something hit me. and i woke up with the sun in my eyes and the sound of my mothers voice. Some dream...

I woke up to a strange gurgling sound coming from downstairs. I lay still in bed, scared to move and let whatever was there aware of my presence. Sweat started running down my face, my hair plastering to my forehead. I was paralyzed with shock, thinking of all the posibilities the monster lurking in the corners could be. I dare not move-not breath-not even bat an eye. I could barely make out the time on my digital clock, 2:13. It seemed like hours that I lay there, just waiting for something-or nothing to happen. It must have been around 5:00 for I finally started to see bits of light streeming in from the window and I decided to swallow my fear. I jumped up from my bed grabbing a pillow in case I would need it for protection. I crept downstairs, being cautious not to make too much noise. As I looked around the corner the noise suddenly grew louder, so I closed my eyes and jumped out screaming at the top of my lungs.
To my surprise the noise continued and I wasn't being eaten so I opened my eyes. What I saw made me cry in hysterics. Where the kitchen table used to be, there was now a giant fish tank with a note that said "Happy Birthday Abby" on the front.

-Nature-
The butterfly loved to fly around outside. It loved all of the colors of fall and summer. One day while flying through the air by the stream a fish popped out of the water and nearly hit the butterfly. the butterfly swooped down and just sat on a lillypad. He was wondering why the fish had almost knocked him into the water. So he waited and waited then finally he came back up, the butterly tried to get his attention but the fish just flopped with back down. Later in the butterfly got upset and decided to just fly away and try to find a nice tree to stay in. He did find one. It was very comfortable and he decided that it was going to be his new home.

The fish moves through water like a butterfly does through.Graceful, and peaceful but also struggling for survival. Each has grace but flaws. The butterfly weak when splashed or wet while the fish is weak without water. They are both so graceful but can't be together for their weakness is the others strength. The sorrow of not being to be with one who is so like you yet so different is beautiful but sad, nonetheless.Yet the butterfly can watch the fish from afar as the fish does the same.

-The freaking food chain-

The butterfly had a easy life. Flying, eating and looking pretty didn't require much effort. He was above all the other flying creatures. The butterfly was prettier and loved by humans. Slowly flying across the pond to his food, a gust of wind picked up. The butterfly was angered by the wind. He was too good for the wind. Trying to ignore the gust, he refused to flutter faster and was blown into the pond. Water filled his eyes and made his lovely wings wet. But that was the least of his problems, because standing before him was a green, angry and hungry fish. The fish glaring at the butterfly opened his mouth and that was the last sight the butterfly ever saw. The fish swallowed the butterfly and finished one of his tasks, eating. He was a busy fish, swimming from other ends of the pond to grab everything he needed. Whether it was shelter, food, safety or his job, he had to get it all done. His job was to make a census of the pond. But taking a head count wasn't easy, lots of creatures were born and consumed by death everyday. He didn't care what got in his way, the fish need to survive in the end. He was too busy how to finish with work for today to see the blue jellyfish up ahead. Blue with white tentacles was the jellyfish. He didn't mind looking like that, it didn't hurt him. Nor did it hurt when he killed the fish swimming torwards him. The creature didn't want to kill it, it's just he didn't feel like moving. He figured that if I just floated there and watched, the problems of the pond would solve themselves. One problem that didn't solve itself was the sharp pain across his body. The octopus siliently had wrapped his tentacle around the creature where he didn't sting and squeezed the jellyfish to death, it was lunch for her. She wasn't hungry she just thought it was her enemy, infact everything was her enemy. Far above the octopus, something random happened, saturn shifted out of it's orbit and fell on earth, precisley crushing the octopus. The end?

There was a Norwegian fish named Stewart. He was always wondering about the world above him. He would see birds flying in the air and dreams of seeing the world from the sky. As he was looking at the birds, in the corner of his eye he could see a free-flying butterfly. His name was Gordon. The fish was asking him so many questions, that he couldn't Gordon couldn't even understand him. Gordon, knowing that Stewart was interested with him, offered to teach him how to fly. Stewart couldn't believe that such a thing was possible. So the next day Gordon began to teach Stewart how to fly. They worked from sunrise to sunset.they worked all that spring. Stewart just couldn't jump high enough to start to fly. Then, the winter came. Gordon had to go for the winter and Stewart still couldn't fly. Gordon, trying to keep Stewart hopeful, said that they could try next spring. As the winter went on, Stewart kept trying to fly.By the time spring came he wanted to be able to fly. Then Gordon had come back before he knew it. As Gordon flew by the pond, he saw Stewart fly higher than any fish ever had before. Gordon was astonished. They both flew over the pond all spring long.

In the summer, when the weather was humid and warm, my Grandfather used to take us out on his boat. Sometimes we would circle the lake well into the night, and he would teach my brother and I the star patterns. His boat rides were usually to teach us a lesson, such as not to destory nature. One lesson changed the way I see life.

As the seasons changed, Grandpa grew older and more frail. At one point we thought he wouldn't make it to the next summer; but he did. It was during this summer that he took us out on the boat one last time. Once we had reached the middle of the lake, he showed us two things; a plant, and a fish. Without waiting for us to guess, he explained how the world was connected. For him it was 'one is all, all is one.' When the fish died it would become food for the plants, and the plants would provide food and shelter for other creatures. Living, hunting, and dying were all part of the cycle. He used this to show us how we will always be in this world.

the fish, the butterfly, and the cranberries.

once upon a time, there was a very hungry fish. he was soo hungry, he said he would eat anything. so in search of food he decided he would try to catch some bugs by jumping out of the water. he tried once, nothing. he tried again, still nothing. he was alittle discoraged but decided he would try once more. he gathered up what little strength he had and leaped out of the water higher than he had ever gone. he went soo high he collided with a butterfly carring a load of cranberries. the butterfly droped her cranberries and the fish fell back into the water. once he was not dizzy, he thanked the heavens for this wonderful gift of cranberries. he quickly gobbled them up and was not hungry for several more days. the end :)

The Butterfly Girl
I always loved nature. From the day I was born, I always found nature to be interesting and mysterious. Since I was little, I always loved all animals and creatures. I was not the kin d of child to scream when I saw a spider or just kill it. I would save it and find it a proper home. This is how it always was.
Ethan, my next door neighbor, was the complete opposite. Although we were ooposites, I loved to play with him. We would play together. From sunrise to sunset, we would be outside playing adventure games in the woods or playing in his sandbox, but as soon as he saw a bug, he was done playing. Then we would play the boring games of hide and seek, tag, and duck duck goose. While playing these games, he was still surrounded by bugs. By the end of the night, I found myself sitting in front of a boring television watching pointless cartoons. Soon, we did not play together anymore.

I woke up one morning with butterflies in my stomach. These were not the usual nervous butterflies. They were excited butterflies. My family and I were going to the town carnival. There would be games and rides, but that was not why I was excited. This carnival was outside, my favorite place in the whole world. My favorite part about nature is that it never leaves no matter where I go.

When we got there, my brother headed straight for the rides. He brought a friend with him. As for me, my friends were everywhere. There was the sun, soon to be moon, the insects, and the grass. I closed my eyes and smelled the fresh air. It was like a new beginning to life. As I opened my eyes, a bright, exquisite tent caught my eye. I walked over to it, with each step I became more eager. There was no one around. The silence was stunning. I peeked in the tent, hoping to find something fantastic, like something from a fictional story.

As I peeked in, I saw an older lady that looked eccentric. She welcomed me and told me to sit down. She claimed she was a genie and could grant me a wish. I told her I did not have one. She asked me many questions, which were many I could not answer. I told her I loved nature.

All of a sudden, rain poured from the sky. Waves came rolling towards us. The storm disappeared and we were back in the tent. I had many questions, but the lady was gone. I left the tent, trying to find my family so we could return home. I was tired.

I woke feeling sick and weak. When I opened my eyes, my whole world blew up before my eyes. By bed had become a desert. I must be dreaming I thought to myself. When I went to get out of bed, I was flying in the air. My mirror was the Great Wall of China. As I looked in the mirror, my confusion ended.

I had been turned into a butterfly. I decided to try to find an open door or window. Mine had been from the previous night. I found myself flying outside. I decided to sit on the beautiful flowers in Ethan's mother's garden. the nect thing I knew, Ethan was screaming. I did not know what had gotten into him. Me. I am the one causing this problem, but before I could fly away, I was swatted at with a giant sized hand.
Then, the world before my eyes shrunk. I was back to my normal state. There was Ethan, staring at me. He ran as fast as he could into his house.

We never spoke to each other again. Everytime I saw him, he would look away.

What had not been my wish, became my wish and that wish had come true. My love for nature became greater. Everytime I see a butterfly, I think of the time I turned into one. When I go to sleep at night I dream of being...
a butterfly.

One day the fish was swimming around, enjoying life in the pond, when the butterfly flew overhead. The fish soon became angry and jealous towards the butterfly because she was able to fly but he couldn't. The next day the butterfly came back and was flying over the fish's head again. She soon became thirsty and decided to take a drink from the pond. This angered the fish because she was able to fly and now she wants to drink from his pond. The fish started to yell at the butterfly, "Why are you drinking from my pond. This pond is only for animals that can't fly." This startled the butterfly because she always thought that the fish was a very gentle creature. "Why am I not allowed to drink from this pond?" "Why are animals without wings able to drink but I am not?" said, the puzzled bird. "You can't because I said so and because you can fly anywhere you want and you can get a drink there!" The butterfly and the fish kept going back and forth yelling at each other, when the fairy heard them. The fairy named Clara came over to see what all the commotion is. clara is a fairy that helps everyone solve their problems, so when she heard them fighting, she wanted to go and fix it. "What seems to be the problem over here?" interrupted Clara. "The fish is not letting me drink from the pond!" said, the butterfly. "Well that's just because she can fly anywhere else and get a drink!" "Are you jealous at the butterfly?" said Calra. "No, no I'm not" interrupted the fish. To help them solve their problems/learn a lesson, Clara decided to put each other in the others places. This will help them know what one another has to go through. Now the fish was able to fly and the butterfly was able to swim. The fish was very happy that now the butterfly will know how it feels to be a fish. The butterfly however didn't like the change. She perferred to fly in the sky instead of getting wet. "Now you each will get to know one's struggles everyday. I will take the spell off in four days, but if you don't change how you act with one another i might not change you back!" this worried the butterfly because she wanted to fly again. She hoped that this will teach the fish his lesson. On the first day the butterfly thought this is horrible. It was hard to swim and to get food. On the other hand the water felt good when the sun was blazing hot. The fish was enjoying flying around all day but when high noon came the birds were circling around the fish. This worried him because he was afriad that they were going to eat him. The second day they thought that the other animal had a better life but as the third day came they missed being able to fly or swim, so they were happy when the fourth day came because they were going to change back. On the fourth day Clara came back and asked how they liked it. "I didn't like it. I like being able to fly." said the butterfly. "I don't like it either, I want to be able to swim all day" said the fish. "Now you know what the other feels like and you should be happy to be what you are." said clara. clara changed the animals back and now they became the best of friends.

Because the fish didn't have legs it tripped and broke its gill. The butterfly started to laugh at the fish. I felt bad for the fish so i picked it up and used my magic healing wand. When the fish was all better the butterfly got mad me and slapped me and suddenly... I heard a talk show host say 95.5 The Fish. That was one akward dream.

The Mystical Berries.

My name is Arthur. I am a butterfly currently living on Saturn. I have been sent by my leader, Cleotis, the flying fish, to retrieve the mystical red berries of the moon. So now, I must fly to the moon, get the berries, and fly back. My trip was going smoothly until I took a rest stop on venus. I was resting on a leafless plant when suddenly, I was suprised by a giant headless octapus. It shot spurs of water at me through its tenticles. They came out swfitly and in swirls. I was scared for my life, but I stood my ground. I shot water beams out of my mouth back at the octapus. I could tell that they caused him a lot of pain by his shrieks. Once I got off of venus, I headed once more for the moon. Eventually, I made my way to the mood and retrieved the berries. I headed home to saturn to give Cleotis the mystical berries.

The Fish and the Butterfly--
For as long as he had been alive, the fish had been extremely fascinated by nature and all of the animals that flooded the earth. Every day the fish would explore his surroundings and observe things that he found intriguing. One day while he was exploring, he saw a butterfly that was so beautiful, he thought that it could olny exist in dreams and in heaven. This butterfly wore gorgeous colors that glistened in the sunlight. The butterfly was perched on a rock by the edge of the pond. As soon as the fish saw her, he swam over to her and intorduced himself. The two talked for the rest of the night. Every day, the butterfly and the fish would spend as much time as they could together, and they became bestfriends. As they got older, they started to fall in love with each other. They both wanted to spend the rest of their lives together, so they decided to get married, and they lived happily ever after. The end.
