Commercials

We are bombarded by visual images each day.  Yesterday, was a celebration of not only football, but the commercial.  What new and innovative techniques were to be used in order to make the commercial worth the money being spent on the advertisement and time slot?
My favorite commercials are the Pure Michigan commercials. I love the feel of the commercial.  The music, the voice of Tim Allen, the imagery--they all just resonate with me.  They make me nostalgic.  Watch this commercial (the word commercial is the link) and pay attention to what is being done to make Michigan attractive.
What I want you to do is to watch television this week and look at how advertisers are trying to speak to you.  Answer these questions:

1. What is the advertisement for?
2. How are they trying to persuade you to Buy in to their product--ethos, logos, pathos?
3. What appeals to you when it comes to advertising?

WARNING---Keep your comments clean and PG!!!!! If I have to delete your response, you do not get points.  If I am offended, that is all that matters:)

1.The one commercial i saw alot on tv was the H&M commercial. H&M is a clothing store.
2.They are trying to persuade us to buying their product by saying they have a sale and saying its a trend to wear their clothing. They have either a good looking male or female showing it off.
3.The thing that really appeals to me when watching this is how they have it set up and when they say the are having good deals for limited time only.

When I watch television, the same commericals are always on repeat... I swear. There are commericals that associate with toliet paper, to certain stores, to food, to certain products, and so much more. But the one commerical that I have seen recently is the doritos commerical that aired on the night of the superbowl, and ever since that night I have seen that commerical probably thirty times atleast. It was the commerical with the man that purchased a goat that constantly eats dorito chips.

This commerical is trying to persuade the people viewing it, to go and buy this product. How they draw in peoples' attention is through comedy. The producers made this commerical commical so people would keep watching it and actually pay attention to that commerical... and then ultimately, people will purchase that product. Usually, comedy keeps peoples'attetion, and will have them respond to it. Which the response that the producers want is for the viewers to buy doritos chips.

What really appeals to me about this commerical is how funny the doritos commericals truly are. The producers really know how to pull viewers in with the commericals they create. Also on that note, they really know how to get the message across. But, they convey that message through their commical actions in their commericals.

1. The commercial I chose was a M&M's commercial that aired during the 2012 Super Bowl. This commercial is trying to get you to buy M&M's.
2. Not only is the commercial funny and grabs your attention, but the music playing in the background is appealing to our generation. The song is "I'm Sexy and I Know It" by LMFAO. I think it is safe to say that almost everyone has heard that song at least once.
3. I think the three main things that would compel you to buy it would be the song choice, the fact that M&M"s are chocolate, and it is funny. But to me the main thing would be the fact that after you see it the song will be stuck in your head and you will just think about it all day!

1. I chose the 2013 Superbowl Mayhem Allstate commercial. Advertising what is supposed to be a great deal on insurance.
2. They are trying to appeal to us through comedy and timing, making fun of historical events that resulted in chaos and mayhem.
3. Personally, I enjoy commercials that make me laugh, doesn't matte how many times I see it, so long as its original, I can relate to it, and I agree with it, I can pretty much get along with it. I personally enjoyed this commercial because it makes it essentially a historical comedy, something that I rely on for entertainment during the boring reels of commercials I usually have to deal with.

1) The commercials that have really been popping out at me are the Dolce and Gabbana commercials, for fragrances.
2)The commercials i find are quite innaproprate for young children. They uses pathos to try and get the attention of viewers. They try to get men to buy their fragrance by making it seem as if you wear it, a young pretty women will be physically attracted to them.
3) When it comes to advertising i enjoy funny commercials, the non funny ones bore me. I like when the commercials use music and i like when they are quick ones. The long commercials lose my attention.

The advertisement I am going to be discussing about today is the anti-boredom campaign (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-Igd-85PDg). It's a weird commercial involving a bored granny that has a fun time by tricking a person driving by her by pretending to ram into him.
If they are trying to persuade me in any way, I'd say that they were trying to make me have a fun time by laughing my butt off at the fact that a granny would do that. I don't understand the motive of the campaign because there's no company that's really sponsoring it.
An appealing thing about advertising is that they try to convince you to do something that they are doing in the advertisement itself.

1. One commercial that I see and like a lot is about Insanity, an in-home work out product.
2. This commercial is trying to persuade someone to buy the product. They show before and after photographs of people who have taken the "Insanity Challenge," which was to stick withthe program for 60 days. This commercial draws your attention by not only saying, but also showing, that anyone can do it if they really committ to the program.
3. A lot of advertisment about working out appeals to me. I like being fit and working out, so these products stand out most to me. This Insanity commercial appeals to me because it shows me that anyone can do it and they sell it for a special price if you order it through television only. I also like how the creator of the Insanity program talks to you like you're in the same room as he is, like you're standing right in front ofhim throughout the commercial and throughout the work out.

One type of commercial that every one is aware of is The ASPCA abused animal commercials. Nobody likes these commercial but they get every one's attention as soon as you hear the sad song in the background playing as they show you images of abused and starving animals. Horrible. The advertisement is used to get people to donate money to the ASPCA to help these animals survive. They are trying to persuade you using Pathos, which is the emotional technique. It plays on the emotions using the sad images and music to make you feel sad, guilty, and to give to them. When it comes to advertising, pathos and this commercial definitely send a powerful punch to customers. I do not know any one that this commercial does not effect. Playing on the emotions works well for advertising.

My favorite Super Bowl Commercial this year was the Budweiser “brotherhood” commercial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2prAccclXs They’re trying to persuade you to buy their product using the pathos appeal. It’s an emotional appeal because it’s playing on the reuniting of an owner and his horse after they were separated for a period of time. They want this to make you feel like the Budweiser company is honest, hardworking, blue-collar, and loving. The most appealing part of this commercial is when the horse passes by the owner with blinders on and fails to see him, and then later catches him out of the corner of his eye and chases him down because he never forgot who raised him.

A commercial that I see all the time and I have to laugh at every time is the AT&T commercial where the AT&T guy is interviewing little kids and the kids always have something clever and childlike to say.

This commercial draws in its viewers in a comical way, and a way that a lot of people (especially people who have experience with children) can relate to and understand.

When it comes to advertising, comedy and having a sincere message appeals to me. If a company really wants my business, it will be honest with me. I am also drawn into heartfelt and meaningful messages. I will listen to anyone with something important and worthwhile to say.

The advertisement that I will use is a typical 2012 US Election ad.

1. The advertisement tries to persuade Americans to vote for a certain candidate.

2. The advertisement tries to persuade the American people by ethos and logos; using facts, logic, math, statistics, and each candidate's credibility.

3. To me, it was appealing that each candidate's advertisement spent significant time on accusing the other candidate as a bad person.

SammiRossman said...

1.) The commercial I used is for Jeeps.
2.) They are using pathos, emotional appeal to get you to buy the product. They are saying things about the American troops returning home. It is a commercial that is sad but it supports the return of American troops. Oprah's voice is in the background, she is the narrator.
3.) The advertisement appealed to me by the way it was presented. It was suspenseful and it made you think about troops. It was an emotional commercial.

1.) The commercial I chose was a Skechers commercial that was aired in the 2013 Super Bowl. The commercial is trying to get you to buy their Go Run 2 shoes.
2.) They are using pathos to try and persuade us to buy their product because they are showing that if you run in these shoes you will be faster than a cheetah.
3.) Advertising that uses bright colors, music, and comedy capture my attention. Long informative commercials bore me.

1) The Nike commercial, they are advertising the new nike shoes.

2) They show the product in action and inspire you to buy it.

3) It is very appealing. And by the end of the advertisement They motivate you in achieving your goals. And causes you to question your character.

1. The commercial I see alot is the one for Time Warner cable I believe.
2. They are trying to persuade the audeince to use their cable provider and use humor. They have a man in a suit at a table with little kids and he saks them random questions about how fast their cable is and they have funny answers.
3. The kids appeal to me because I think it makes it funny and cute and they also get the message across that their cable is cheaper and faster than "everyone" elses.

The commercial that i see all the time is the commercial for the insurance with the couple that goes to the agent and he said there was no drama at all, then he picks up the wolf.
They are trying to sell the insurance to you by saying its drama free and easy.
The thing that appeals to me is that its funny. it makes people interested in wanting to watch it.

1. What is the advertisement for?
The commercial was for doritos.
2. How are they trying to persuade you to by in to their product--ethos, logos, pathos?
they were trying to sell the brand by using pathos. At first they used a goat eating chips to catch peoples attention. Then they showed how good the chips were by the goat eating them all day and all night.
3. What appeals to you when it comes to advertising?
In this advertisment the humor of a goat eating chips is what really caught my eye.

This week I saw a commercial that aired on the super bowl. It was a Hyundai commercial (Car Company). They were trying to persuade me to buy their car over some other companies by using humor and affection. The boy is excluded from playing football unless he has his own team, so he drives with him mom in a Hyundai to pick up some extra ordinary friends to play, in the end the mean kid from the beginning gets a football kicked at him and it makes me laugh. It makes me feel welcome and connected to the car company because, while unlikely, the strong kids they use in the commercial are felt sympathy for just like at the end. The car company connects to me and peaks my interest and makes me want to buy one of their cars rather than another because they understand me more than another company.

1. The advertisement I chose is the Sandals Resort commercial with "(I'Ve Had) The Time of My Life." They want you to book a vacation at their resort.
2. They do this mainly by appealing to the emotions/ using pathos. They show a bunch of people smiling and enjoying the warm beaches, under the bright sun. These images make the viewer instantly want it because it is associated with happiness. The song is saying that they are having the time of their lives so that helps get the message across. They use ethos because they make you believe that these people are truly having a good time and are happy. Even though we know it is staged and is a commercial, they still are able to make us believe it. They don't really incorporate logos into these commercials.
3. To be honest, food gets me every time. I don't care if it is the most unhealthy choice. If it looks good, I want it. They make things look so fresh and delicious.
I also like images, such as the beach. These are the ones that take you back to a place or time in your life that you would love to be.

1. The commercial I saw repeativly was the "cookies or creme" commerical. The commerical tries to get you to buy oreos
2. I believe they are trying to get you to buy their product by making you want to eat oreos so you can pick a side.
3. Stupidity is what appeals me to this commerical. I can't stop watching it because the idea of what is happening in the commercial is stunning.

When I watch tv I see alot of the video games commercials. It makes me really want to go out and buy it, because they make it seen all great and fun and that if your not playing it then your not having fun. And that's that type of mind set they all try to put in your mind. Get this game or you won't have fun. Also they Appel to the male teenage group anyways so making me want the game more. They support it with other games its like. Old makers and other things like new add ons. Online play. Play with friends. Short clips getting you into it

I haven't watched TV since Christmastime, but I did go on youtube to watch some of the best commercials for the Super Bowl this year. One in particular that stuck out to me was a commercial for Doritos. In the commercial, a man takes home a goat that loves Doritos. Over the course of a day the goat eats an entire closet full of the chips, and eventually runs out. The goat then finds his owner in another room with a plethora of Doritos bags (the man was hiding the Doritos from the goat) and the commercial ends with the goat closing the door ominously. This commercial appeals to our emotions, and thus appeals via pathos. The advertisers hope that by making their commercial funny, they will make us laugh and make their product more memorable. This works well, because what appeals to me most is a funny advertisement. A commercial that is boring does not hold my attention, and I cease to care what the advertiser's message is. However, when the commercial is funny, I devote my full attention to the TV screen, and am more likely to recall the message the company is sending.

1. I like to watch old school shows like "Columbo" and the channels that these TV shows are on are pitched for old people. One of the commercials I always see advertizes for Funeral Advantage.
2. This and other old people commercials are meant to appeal to many insecurity feelings. Funeral Advantage sells their plan by scaring the viewer that the most government benefits will give you for your funeral is $255. Many retiring and retired viewers are no doubt frustrated with small social security checks and the impending doom of government as it was in the good old days making this commercial ideal for appealing to the pathos of its audience.
3. I like quality commercials. I despise the deep announcer voice that comes on to ask if I'm tired of Teflon pan disasters. On the other hand, if a commercial has a professional film quality appearance without hardly mentioning their product until the final two seconds, I appreciate that.

The commercial was the taco bell super bowl advertisement. They tried to persuade the buyers by the old people being out late at night after midnight or later and going to taco bell late at night. Symbolizing how taco bell is open later than most other fast food or any restaurant is open after going out with friends. Commercials that appeal the most to me are the humorous ones. They make me laugh and catch my attention. Most important of all we have something to mock and reenact.

1) The advertisement is for Michigan tourism.

2) The commercial and its affiliates combines the use of colors i.e. green - nature, blue for calm/happy, white - cleanliness/purity, orange/yellow - light/brightness/happiness. They also use a variety of natural items, trees, oceans, animals, beaches, etc. Flamboyant adjectives. Using objects as metaphors, "This lighthouse shines for everyone."

3) Personally the colors and the ideas associated with the natural elements are the most attractive parts of the commercial. Nature is always a very appealing part of any advertisement.

1) Virtually any Doritos commercial. One specifically that comes to mind was the Fashionista one from the Super Bowl. They use humor to appeal to the buyers, they just want to sell their product.
2) This commercial uses ethos by using humor to appeal to the senses of the audience.
3) The thing that appeals to me the most is definitely a humor. It gives the product a lasting impression and makes me more likely to buy Doritos as opposed to Lays.

The advertisement is for sports tampons. I find this commercial really funny and in away they do reach their point to me. Thy are trying to tell you that this tampon is better for you then any other one and is good for sports too. They show a girl dancing and spinning around. An advertisement that makes me interested is one that has good music, a topic I'm interested in, and proves to me that it's worth buying. Also also this is ethos because they use humor.

Because I do not have television I looked up commercials on the internet. I found one for StateFarm that I remember people mentioning, and that is the "French Model" commercial. This commercial is trying to sell insurance by demonstrating its easy accessibility via phone app. A naive girl mentions that she did not know StateFarm had this app because she read it on the internet. This is an example of logos because it appeals to a person's logical senses. Viewers are lead to believe that it is in their best interest to have statefarm because, unlike the girl in the commercial, the smart and well informed people have it. It also further demonstrates logos by showing that it is easily accessible, and therefore a logical choice. The main appeal in this commercial is the humor when the gullible girls "french model" date shows up.

I honestly don't watch tv, I couldn't even tell you the last time I did. I do listen to music on Pandora radio though, and the have a lot of commercials. They have commercials for movies that are coming out soon. They use pathos, so people are drawn into it and want to go see the movie. I think Pandora does a good job with these because people cannot skip over them, so they hear everything that the advertisement (commercial) has to say.

The Dodge Ram super bowl commercial uses mainly pathos to attract the viewer. It is a series of images that go with a homily about farmers. The sermon is perhaps not captivating to the normal listener so they enhance its emotional impact with idyllic stills of adults, children, livestock, and rustic landscapes as they relate to farming. It is intended to inspire a sense of sentimentality and desire to identify with the stereotypical farmer. Though not once throughout the commercial is any fact (or even the name of the company) uttered, the progression of images creates a want of something that will make the person feel satisfied. The truck appears intermittently (and sometimes inconspicuously) so that the viewer feels that that object will make them more noble, as a farmer is, without actually being one. As the commercial ends it shows, "For the farmer in all of us," making the viewer see this truck as not a numerical decision, but an emotional one. What catches my attention most is stimulating pictures or cinematography. In the aforementioned commercial, I recognize the use of this ethos, but still enjoy the nice pictures.

1. My favorite commercial was the one about the Chrysler cars that are made in Detroit. I like them because they have a good music beat And show are really nice car. It's cool also because they show how nice Detroit really is. Also they have great background music playing.
2. They tried to persuade you to abide by they have great music and they show off the car's best features. Also, they have Eminem as there main person for the cars they play his music and usually have him driving the cars. A lot of people like Eminem so of he likes the car other people will to.i also think they try to persuade it by having the toe showed off like the best building and nice things about Detroit
3. What appeals to me as the music the buildings and all of the nice features of the show about the car. Also I'm a huge Eminem fan so the music is cool. I love that city and American cars. That commercial is pure classic American.

The commercial I chose was one for Cleveland state university. They were advertising for freshman entering collage in the fall. They were persuading using ethos, when they had current students tell why they liked CSU. For me when it comes to advertising what appeals to me is usually humor of some sort. Mvalasek 7-8

1) The advertisement is for Taco Bell. The advertisement is about the new Cantina Steak burrito. They were showing pictures of excellent cuts of meat and fresh vegetables. It is also being promoted by a famous Spanish chef.
2) They are showing all fresh ingredients and using a famous chef to promote the product. They are trying to cater to the crowd that may be on a budget but is looking for a quality meal. They are using the phrase "Live mas" which means live more. what I think they are trying to convey is that you can enjoy this quality meal without sacrificing your health and your wallet at the same time. They are appealing to pathos through the pictures used and the motto of "live mas."
3) The fresh ingredients and the quality of how the food looks makes it appealing.

My favorite commercial is the Miami University commercial. (I may be a little biased) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_2AFPaSBUQ

Throughout this commercial they describe what Miami calls "the 'aha' moment". They say things in the commercial that students planning on going to Miami and/or know a lot about Miami could relate to, such as mentioning Tappan Hall (a residence hall), broomball (big intramural sport), or The Arch (big Miami tradition aka Miami Mergers).
The commercial gives you these things you can familiarize yourself with and makes you feel like you can relate.

I like this commercial because of the narrator, the music, the dialog, and the people they chose as extras. I can relate to the dialog and the people in it.

1. The commercial I chose was for the E-Trade application. This commercial tries to persuade you to use their application by suggesting it is a good decision.
2. The commercial uses logos by comparing good and bad decisions, because everyone likes the results of good decisions over bad ones. The idea is that cheap things are good, so is sushi, but sushi from a gas station is not so good. E-Trade is a good decision; it is cheap but also quality. The commercial then shows the results of the good decision, more money and happiness, and the results of the bad one, illness. The commercial also uses pathos in its humor over bad sushi and gas station foods.
3. Commercials tend to appeal to me when there is humor involved and the product or service being sold is well shown. I hate when I cannot tell what I am being sold when the commercial is over, it is a waste of time and ineffective. Although humor is important, it matters more that the product is clearly shown. This commercial does an excellent job of both things.

1. It is a commercial for Geico Insurance.
2. They are attempting to sway the audience with pathos. The commercial features Christopher Columbus sailing to America on a speed boat, followed by two ukulele-playing guys saying something witty and connecting it back to Geico. It has little purpose other than to make the audience laugh, and laughter is an emotional response.
3. Usually absurdist humor speaks to me the most. Commercials can be funny, and then they can be hilariously incomprehensible. I remember there was once a commercial for a product I didn't even like that involved a guy getting attacked by a goat and it made me bust a gut. No guarantee that I'll buy something, if it's funny, but it occasionally helps.

1. The commercial I saw most during the week was for the ASPCA. They are the ones that advocate against animal cruelty as well as try to get people to adopt abandoned and mistreated animals.

2. They use pathos to get you to feel sorry for the animals that are being mistreated, making you slightly more likely to adopt or send in money. The biggest source of paths in the commercial comes from the music in the background.

3. I really don't watch commercials, but those that I do watch have some comedic element to them. I like to watch infomercials and ask myself 'do people really buy into this stuff? why do people think they need this?' The ASPCA commercial does not fall into this category, but I do find it funny that they use a picture of a perfectly healthy animal (the baby seal) to advocate against animal abuse.

I was watching the subway commercial in which they are advertising for subs. The ways subway is trying to persuade the viewers are through the bandwagon use of professional athletes. By this I mean that many people watch sports and especially their favorite athletes. So subway tries to use these athletes in their commercial to try to promote their subs. In doing this it gets their viewers to believe that if their favorite athletes eat there then when the fans eat there one they look cool and two it gives them a false voice by giving the fans pride in saying that they can be just as good as their favorite athletes if they eat at subway since the athletes do. What appeals to me in commercials is to three things, one how funny or hysterical it is, two the celebrities representing the commercial, and three the imagery that comes along with this journey.

I like this one live action commercial that they did for the video game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim a few years ago.

They persuade you using pure adrenaline. The entire trailer is always turned up to 11. Cool dude running around with a sword in full armor for about 30 seconds, and then he goes head to head with a dragon. It's definitely made to impress, and impress it does.

Trailers like that appeal to me. Visual bombast, I love it. I want a commercial to wow me. Make me remember it.

They are persuading the viewers by showing the animals that were terribly abused and they play sad music. This is to cause me or the viewers to feel guilty and feel bad for the animal so we would end up donating the money.
3)The appealing part of the commercial is that they are trying to help innocent animals and get others to help as well.

The commercial is trying to persuade us to buy Doritos. They are trying to make a funny commercial to appeal to most people. The commercial uses pathos becasue it is trying to appeal to our comical emotions.
Personally, I love the funny commercials. They're interstiing and always different. Also, naturally, they give me a good laugh. Truthfully, if I would say that I am more likely to buy something if the commercial is funny. It's just more appealing to me that way.

1. The commericial I see a lot is the Marines recruiting video.

2. They try to influence people by saying "you can be one of the few" meaning you are one who can do more than the average person and make the world a better place.

3.The thing which appeals to me in this commericial is the challenge they suggest in becoming a marine and the role of team work they show.

The commercial I watched was an advertisement for Twix bars.
In the advertisement they use pathos by making the viewer consider which side of the Twix bar they liked better. I personally never really watch Television so I don't see many commercials, yet the few advertisements that appeal to me are usually ones that have some sense of humer in them.

1. One advertisement, that I hate, is the ASPCA commercial about adopting pets. I hate it only because of how effective it is at making me feel bad.
2. This commercial relies heavily on pathos, or emotional appeal. The typical slow, depressing song is played softly in the background as various pictures of puppies crammed into cages and starving cats are displayed before you, attacking you with a painful dose of reality and awareness when you least expect it, watching your favorite TV show. It doesn’t make me want to adopt a dog but it does make me want to change the channel.
3. Advertisements that are funny are the most memorable to me. Whether or not I remember a product when I’m out in a store largely depends on if the commercial interested me enough to actually pay attention to what it was saying, and the easiest way to do that is with a quick dose of comedy.

1.) The commercial i chose is Snickers.
2. They try to influence the viewer by demonstrating if you are hungry you will act like a different person that nobody wants to be around. Once you eat a Snickers bar your hunger will be satisfied and you will become yourself again.
3.)This appeals to me because the commercials can be really funny and everybody loves a good laugh and food in the same commercial.

1.) The advertisement I chose is a commercial for Chase online banking, which shows a woman taking a picture of a check and sending it to her account.

2.) This commercial uses pathos. or an emotional appeal. The woman in the commercial is with her young daughter at the zoo. She explains to her daughter how to deposit the check with a picture, then goes to photograph the lion. Her daughter stops her, picturing the lion showing up at the bank, to which her mother says it works on checks only. It appeals to people's emotions because it shows how children's imaginations work as well as the naivete of childhood.

3.) What appeals to me in advertising is usually humor. Funny commercials will always be better than sappy ones. I also have to know what the commercial is about, as some commercials skip around so much you don't even know what it's for.

Commercials repeats themselves over and over again. The one that use to stand out is the 1-800-contact commercial because it was so dramatic. It was advertising why you should buy their brand because they have every contact brand and they have fast shipping. When advertising I like them to show me what the product is really about other than making a fact plot about their product.

The commercial I see often is the ASPCA commercial. This commercial uses pathos to get the point across. The commercial pulls on the watcher's heart strings to persuade the person to donate to the charity for abused and neglected animals. I feel the commercial uses guilt to make a the person donate. When I see this commercial, I feel guilty for not donating money to helpless animals. I feel the commercial pushes this too far because I, as well as my family, change the channel as soon as the iconic song comes on because the guilt felt while watching it is uncomfortable. I think the commercial does not aim for this outcome but I know of many people that do the same as my family and me. However, the makers of the commercial do convey their point of the animals needs.

1. What is the advertisement for?
The advertisement is for Snickers candy bar.
2. How are they trying to persuade you to Buy in to their product--ethos, logos, pathos?
Snickers always does a good job with their commercials. In the particular commercial that I watched, actor Robin Williams is portrayed as a football coach. He tells his team to go out on the field and hit the other team!... with kindness. He then eats a snickers bar and transforms into the hard-nose football coach he had been all along. This commercial appeals to my humor and makes me want to focus on the commercial. It also makes me remember the message the company is trying to send.
3. What appeals to you when it comes to advertising?
Majority of the ads that appeal to me are humorous. Also any kind of ad that is for something I enjoy.

1.) Considering I do not watch too much television, I'd have to say my favorite commercials are the ones for AT&T with the children and the man asking them, “Which is better?”
2.) The goal of their commercials is to persuade us to switch to their phone company. They do this mainly by using the children. Not only do the children present a sort of “cuteness” for the commercial, which draws us in, but they also show that even kids can understand that some of the qualities with the phone company the man points out are better than others.
3.) When I watch the commercials, I love hearing what the kids have to say when answering the question of which is better. Not to mention the fact that this man can be very sarcastic with them, and yet te children have no idea. Personally, I’d love to have his job!

Most of the commercials I tend to see are the ones for different car companies. They try to show the fastest, best looking cars and associate them with the best people, jobs, and lifestyles. They use the commercials to appeal to the emotional side of wanting the best car to be the most respected among people. When I watch the commercials, I tend to think about the better brands of cars and how owning one will not necessarily make you the best type of person, despite what these commercials show.

My favorite commercial is the Estrade baby commercials. I think they are trying to get people to find humor in it then use their company instead of others. It appeals to me because of the humor and the comedy that babies can't really talk, let alone manage their own investments. I wouldn't pursued me to use their company, but the commercials are comical.

1. The commercial is for M&M's at a big party.

2. The commercial is trying to persuade people to buy their product which is M&M's by showing the M&M's being at a party and that the girls find chocolate M&M's irresistible and they cannot leave the party without eating some M&M's

3. When I watch television and see commercials about their products and ad commercials where they want to sell a new product that isn't in stores and you have to call to buy them is very appealing to me because I just want to buy that product right then and there. I've always been that way and my sister says it appeals her as well. When they show how the product works and how it compares it to other products showing their new product is better makes their commercial more appealing and convincing.
